Induction Heating System IHS-250-10 / 120-20

The system is designed for thermal drawing of wires and thin stripes made from low-ductility difficult-to-form steel, copper, aluminium and non-ferrous metals.
The system is used for heating of rolled wire, conductors and steel wire during production process of cable products and combined steel details.
The system can be used for heat treatment of wire and conductors for removal of residual voltage and baking. It also can be used for initial heating for insulating and baking coating. 
The specialty of system IHS-250-10 / 120-20 is that the most modern electronics and control systems are applied, so this provides total automation of the process and reduction of labour intensity.
The application of such a system enables to increase the precision of bar heating and to guarantee the high quality of wire derived during bar drawing in the die holes.
System IHS-250-10 / 120-20 has been awarded with the gold medal in nomination “Effectiveness of new methods implementation and production modernization” in awards named “The best innovation project in the sphere of metallurgy and machine-building industry” held in the frame of St. Petersburg Technological Exposition-2007.

The innovation system of electric supply, based on modern transistor and thyristor frequency converters, is applied in this system. It provides controlled heating of a bar with highly precise temperature distribution at the wire section. 
The generators of a new lineup are made on the base of high-technology IGBT-transistored modules. They are equipped with microprocessing control, protective and diagnostic systems for representation of actual parameters and system condition.
A special digital control system with a computer regulator component has been designed for heating temperature control. Pyrometric inspection sensors with high accuracy are used in this system.
The base of control system of remote control station is a programmable logical controller. The controller enables to control a frequency converter and to perform a selected operating mode.
