Induction vacuum melting systems

Induction vacuum melting systems are designed for melting and casting in vacuum and inert-gas atmosphere of high-alloy and precious metals.

A set of supply includes:  

• Vacuum chamber with melting and melting-pouring unit; 

• Semiconductor frequency converter; 

• Control cabinet with vacuum equipment set; 

• Set of connecting cables and pipes.

The system makes it possible to get high-purity materials. There are devices that help to load metal till crucible is full. These devices turn over the induction coil for pouring metal into casting molds. Casting molds are delivered under induction coil as the molds are full. There are also devices for measuring of smelt temperature and pressure in a chamber.   Process control is performed in manual and semi-automatic modes.

At the request of a Customer the system can be equipped with:

• centrifugal pouring device; 

• device pouring metal through bottom or door of vacuum chamber; 

• loading chamber with sliding shutter for additional loading during melting process and additional alloys feeding.

• Possibility for processing in controlled gaseous atmosphere;  

• High-purity metals; 

• Possibility for additional loading of doping and adding materials during melting process; 

• Metal pouring in vacuum or shielding gas atmosphere;  

• Possibility for temperature control during melting.

Vacuum equipment is designed at the request of a Customer.

Vacuum chamber is made of stainless nonmagnetic steel with water-cooled case. Vacuum chamber is equipped with lighting and inspection windows, relief valve, device for inductor turnover, and support for casting mold.   Pyrometer, thermal converter, sampling instrument, essential component feeder can be installed as agreed upon with a Customer. SCR frequency converters are used as power supplies. Capacitors for reactive power compensation are installed in a control cabinet or in a separate capacitor unit. Cooling station is equipped with water-to-water heat exchanger and distilled water circulates in its inner case. There are all the necessary control buttons and measuring instruments on the front panel of control cabinet. The quantity and types of vacuum pumps are determined according to technical specifications agreed with a Customer. Imported vacuum equipment can be installed at the request of a Customer.
